I cannot believe I’m already at my November Love List. God is it just me or has this year just gone super fast? We are now in prime don’t-go-to-Westfield Christmas countdown. I’m on my second to last love list for the year and I started thinking about the primary reason why I started doing them – it’s about gratitude. This has been a hard year, emotionally draining and stressful and writing this post every month has forced me to find things to be grateful for and happy about. I definitely love the way its affected my outlook – I’ve been far more on the look out for opportunities for gratitude, even when the world seems like the worst.
Swims!
I remember telling my husband that a pool was a waste of money when we were buying a house. I’ve never been happier to be wrong in my life! This is the first time in my life I’ve ever had my own pool and I have to be held back from jumping in it every day.
Summer Storms
Is there anything better than sitting all gorgeous and cosy and watching the rain stream down? My favourite smell in the world is that beautiful crisp way the world smells right before a big storm. It’s like the world is just holding its breath. While I love all storms, I have a particular love for summer storms because they are such a relief from the sticky heat.
Mulan
Bear was at home sick for a week, so we did a lot of Octonauts and Thomas in a bid to keep him quiet. To save my sanity, I reached for one of my favourite Disney movies and I was delighted to find that my son adored it just as much as I do! It will definitely be sitting with Brave as one of our family favourites. While I hate seeing him in pain, I also sort of love it when he’s sick. He gets so snuggly and sweet, and he stays still for longer than 5 minutes to let me love him.
The Big 500
Looking at the instaworld, there are so many people out there with thousands and thousands of followers, so this number might seem small. I am stoked however to have made it to one of my first big milestones on Instagram. I love taking pictures and I’m so glad to see my feed is resonating with people.
Gilmore Girls Revival!!
10 years in the making! I’m actually pretty rare in that I loved the final four words. While I agree that the ending left you wanting more, I think it was completely perfect and wouldn’t have had it any other way.
Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them
I was sad that we couldn’t line up babysitting for this movie, but thankfully good old JK thought of us parents and released the screenplay as a book. Have to say, big fan right here. Loved loved loved it!
Ikea
I have shopped at Ikea many times but never ever braved the cafe. With the new store open in North Lakes, we decided to finally try the famous meatballs and cinnamon rolls – they definitely live up to the hype!
Are you also trying to practice gratitude? What would make your November Love List? Tell me about the things you are loving in the comments!

I love this post and your photography is gorgeous. You will have 1000s of IG followers before you know it.
aww thanks so much! 🙂
Looks like a lovely November! 🙂 I’m envious about the pool especially as my new place is so much hotter than my old apartment. I just finished watching Gilmore Girls revival and must admit, I felt a bit meh about the ending. I see a blog post coming up about why I was disappointed with it. 😛 I haven’t watched Fantastic Beasts and am still uncertain about buying the book but maybe, just maybe should give in. Must admit, those meatballs do not look very appetising! 😛
Yeah that ending was a little problematic wasn’t it? I loved your post about it!
Gilmore Girls and Ikea and Disney Movies – Oh my! Looks like a fabulous November.
was definitely one of the better months of the year 🙂
I love your little gratitude lists Summer storms are the best (as long as it’s not school pick up time). I haven’t been to the new IKEA yet but I’m sure it will be on my personal December love list
